Tajik judo wrestlers won three medals at the international judo tournament in Kazakhstan. The tournament was carried out in Shymkent city in tribute to an honored coach of Kazakhstan Valery Klobutsky.

320 sportsmen at the age of 16 and 18 from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took part in the tournament.

Tajikistan was represented by three young wrestlers Saidmuhtor Rasulov and brothers Rasheed and Rauf Ziyebekovs, a spokesman for the Tajik National Olympic Committee Murodali Teshaev told the AP.

Rasulov won golden medal in men’s 73kg weight division. Rasheed Ziyebekov won another gold in men’s 81kg division. Rauf Ziyebekov won bronze.

“Klobutsky Valery Ivanovich is one of the founders of judo wrestling in Kazakhstan. This tournament in his tribute is always full of uncompromised duels. As usual, wrestlers showed high wrestling skills. It is a pleasure to see that the skills of all sportsmen have significantly increased,” senior judo coach of Kazakhstan Jan Klobutsky has said.
