Tajikistan`s Taekwondo ITF Team took the third team place in another World Cup, which was held from 24 to 30 of August in Plovdiv city (Bulgaria).

Sabina Tyuryaeva won the championship title in the "rear" exercise; two silver medals brought Bahram Gadoev for the team in individual sparring and "selfdefens" exercise.

The bronze medals were won by Muhammad Naimov,  Masroor Sattorov, Alisher Akhmedov and Daler Tyuryaev.

89 countries took part in the competition.

Yesterday in Dushanbe airport the participants of the world championship were solemnly greeted. When the first athlete appeared at the entrance gate of the airport people started to applause and shout "Bravo!". Parents, relatives and friends of the world championship participants presented them flowers.

Chairman of the National Federation of Taekwondo and kickboxing Mirsaid Yahyayev said that the national team of Tajikistan at this time showed a unique result: a gold medal of Tyuryaeva Sabina is the first in the world championships history, which was won by athlete after her marriage and almost three-year absence on the tournaments.

“Now we are growing a new generation of taekwondo, which can show results in future competitions,” - said the head of Tajik delegation.

World champion Sabine Tyuryaeva shared her impressions of the world championship with the reporters: "Thanks to everyone who supported me. Foe a long time I have not taken part in international tournaments, so many did not believe in my victory. But when I went out on the mat, I felt confidence in my abilities". Previously, Sabine Tyuryaeva said that she dedicates victory to her son. "Our little boy is impatiently waiting for us. Thanks to everyone who believed in me, "- wrote the athlete in social networks.

The national team of Tajikistan at the World Cup was presented by the following athletes: Alisher Akhmedov, Mehrangez Aliyeva, Islom Ashurmatov, Bahromdzhon Gadoev, Aziz Ganizoda, Gulru Khodjieva, Hasan Hakimi, Behruz Nabiyev, Shirinbonu Nabiyeva, Mukhamadjon Naimov, Mansur Sattorov, Ziyoratsho Shamolov, Mahina Shodmonova, Daler Turaev, Sabina Turaeva, Sadriddin Yakubov.

In addition, there were three judges of international class from Tajikistan - Alijon Akbarov, Erkin Latipov and Riana Galimova. The first and second places in the team event took DPRK athletes and the sportsmen from Russian Federation.

Due to the success of our athletes in the international arena, taekwondo ITF is one of the most popular sports in the country. Taekwondo and kickboxing Federations (NTFK) have prepared 36 world champions for 20 years.
