Iran’s junior badminton players won 4 gold medals of Central Asian Games that took place in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, on August 11-14.
It is to be noted that this is the first year that badminton is included in the Central Asian Games.
IRNA reports that in the final match of the singles, games of the under-17 two Iranian players managed to beat their competitors and as a result, the gold and silver medals were given respectively to Adel Surati and Mohammad Golchin.
In doubles, the Iranian team’s Ali Ahmadlou and Matin Qassemi reportedly beat the double team of Uzbekistan and gained the gold medal for the under-15.
The Iranian youth in the final of the first badminton of Central Asian Games also beat the double team of Uzbekistan to win the doubles’ gold medal in Tajikistan, according to IRNA.
In the girls’ field, Iran’s Zahra Robati and Aysan Zareie reportedly beat the doubles team of Uzbekistan to become the champions of the under-15-year-old field of the Central Asian Games.
Also, in the girls’ doubles of the under-15-year-old field, Ferdos Foruqi and Aida Enayati beat the doubles’ team of Tajikistan to win Iran’s 4th gold medal in these games.
