DUSHANBE , April 12, Asia-Plus - In January-March, Tajik farms have received fuel less than their due, according to information from the Ministry of Agriculture.  

Amrullo Abdulloyev, head of the mechanization and electrification department of the Ministry of Agriculture, that the farms have received only 14,905 tons of fuel for sowing campaign over the past three months, which is only 30 percent of the planned volume determined at 48,820 tons.  

According to him, the farming units also do not have enough agricultural machines for carrying out field works.  “To date, only 11,905 ( 61%) of 19,626 agricultural machines have been prepared for the sowing campaign.” 

In the northern province of Sughd , of 7,954 tractors, 5,718 (72 percent) are in good order.  In Khatlon province, of 9,255 agricultural machines, only 4,632 are ready for field works.  In districts subordinate to the center, of 2,234 agricultural machines, 1,516 have been prepared for the sowing campaign.
