DUSHANBE, April 17, Asia-Plus -- Information Program and Local Governance Initiatives Program of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF) intends to hold international conference formally titled “Electronic Management: Opportunities and Mechanisms of Realization” in Dushanbe from April 18-20.
According to information from the OSI/AF Tajik Branch, the conference is aiming to consider issues related to promoting introduction of information-communication technologies to the spheres of management, economics, education and civil society.
The conference participants include specialists from state structures and civil society’s institutions of Central Asia and Caucasus as well as experts from Russia, Estonia and Moldova.
The conference participants also will visit the settlements of Somoniyon and Hissor, where the OSII/AF has financially supported implementation of model projects on introduction of information-communication technologies in jamoats. Experts will familiarize themselves with elements of electronic management in these settlements and give recommendations on improvement of work of the pilot projects.
The conference is staged under support of the President’s Executive Office and the Center for Strategic Studies as well as UNDP Country Office and the “Civil Initiative of Internet Policy” Public Foundation.
