DUSHANBE, September 27, Asia-Plus - Educational and preschool institutions in Dushanbe do not meet requirements of the fire-prevention measures properly, according to Dushanbe firefighting service.
A source in the Dushanbe firefighting service said that they have inspected 27 higher educational institutions, six technical colleges, 14 technical-vocational schools, 89 secondary schools, four boarding schools, six lyceums, 10 colleges, four orphanages and 78 preschool institutions in the Tajik capital since the beginning of the year.
Inspections have revealed numerous violations of fire-prevention measures and some educational institutions have been fined a total of 5,226 somonis.
