Uzbekistan has harvested over six million tones of grain despite bad weather.

"Severe winter, draught, hail, mudslides and pests were a serious challenge to farmers," said President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

Grain crops were sown over 1.28 million hectares, including 1.08 million hectares of irrigated land, the Agriculture and Water Resources Ministry said. Last year Uzbekistan harvested 6.25 million tones of grain.
