Chinese, Tajik NOCs to boost bilateral cooperation

DUSHANBE, July 26, Asia-Plus -- Senior representatives from China’s National Olympic Committee (NOC) led by its vice-president Zayging Yu (phonetically spelled) and deputy secretary general of China’s Olympic Council Kuansheng Zhnag (phonetically spelled) are arriving in Tajikistan tomorrow for a five-day working visit.
Farid Solehov, a spokesman for
Tajikistan
’s NOC, has told Asia-Plus that the main purpose of the visit is for the Chinese delegation to familiarize itself with sports facilities in
Dushanbe
and other regions of
Tajikistan
, including the town of
Tursunzoda
, some 60 kilometers west of
Dushanbe
.
During their staying in
Tajikistan
representatives from Chinese NOC also will hold talks with top managers of
Tajikistan
’s Committee for Sports and Physical Training and NOC.
The visit of the Chinese delegation to
Tajikistan
is supposed to end with singing of an agreement between NOCs of the two countries on bilateral cooperation.
This visit is part of the delegations’ tour of
Central Asia
’s states. After
Dushanbe
, Chinese sports officials will visit Almaty (
Kazakhstan
),
Tashkent
(
Uzbekistan
), and Ashgabat (
Turkmenistan
).
