DUSHANBE, April 27, Asia-Plus - Tajikistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC) has decided to pay life pensions to known Tajik sportsmen.
The NOC Secretary General, Shirin Mamadsafoyev, told Asia-plus that the ninth assembly of Tajik NOC will be held in Dushanbe on April 28 with participation of Deputy Prime Minister, Khairinisso Mavlonova, and heads of all sports federations active in the country.
According to Mamadsafoyev, the meeting will consider the issue of paying life pensions to the prominent athletes. He noted that the NOC had decided to pay life pension in the amount equivalent to $50.00 to Ibrohim Hasanov, Saidmoumin Rahimov and Zebunisso Rustamova.
The meeting will also sum up the results of work carried out by NOC in 2005-06 and endorse a plan of actions for 2007-2008.
