DUSHANBE, October 15, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- This year, Tajik athletes have won 46 gold, 50 silver and 66 bronze medals in various international tournaments, Maliksho Nematov, the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, remarked at a press conference in Dushanbe on October 14.  

According to him, 53 sports activities, including 39 competitions and 14 republican championships in different sports, have been organized in Tajikistan this year.  7,076 young people have participated in those competitions and championships.
