DUSHANBE, July 6, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajik athlete Dilshod Nazarov has won the third gold medal this year, finishing first in a hummer throwing at the10th stage of the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Challenge that was completed in Spain on the night of July 2-3, Asia-Plus has learned at the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Tajikistan.
“Dilshod Nazarov threw the hummer 78.49 meters, which is his new personal best,” the NOC source said.
He noted that Dislshod Nazarov won his first gold medal last May in Brazil. The competition was part of the GP Caixa/Unifor de Atletismo Series, the source noted. Nazarov won his second gold medal at the international athletics tournament, Moscow Open-2010, on June 29, 2010.
