DUSHANBE, February 28, 2011, Asia-Plus -- To-date, Tajik athletes have won four gold medals at the Uzbekistan Open Athletics Championships, Rashid Mirzoyev, director of the Republican Sportsmanship School, told Asia-Plus Monday afternoon.
According to him, Davron Atabayev has won two gold medals for Tajikistan finishing first in 60- and 200-meter sprints.
“Tajik athletes have win two other gold medals in hammer throw – Alisher Eshbekov was the best among adults and Zohir Sheraliyev finished first among youths,” said Mirzoyev. “The competitions are going on and our athletes have a chance to win more medals.”
