DUSHANBE, August 30, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A government session that took place in Dushanbe on August 29 endorsed the football development program designed for 2012-2016.
This program, worked out by the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, provides for construction of a 50,000-seat football stadium in Dushanbe.
Jaloliddin Nourov, a spokesman for the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, says renovations will begin to bring stadiums into compliance with international standards and measures will be taken to develop youth football in the country.
The Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, Tajikistan’s Football Federation and relevant ministries and organizations are responsible for control over implementation of this program.
