Tajik central bank to put into circulation jubilee coins minted on occasion of 15th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence

, February 8, Asia-Plus - The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) intends to put into circulation in the summer jubilee coins dedicated to the 15
th
anniversary of
Tajikistan
’s
Independence
, the 2700
th
anniversary of the establishment of the city of
Kulob
and a Year of Aryan Civilization, according to information from Tajik central bank.
The NBT source has told
Asia
-Plus the coins will be minted at a mint in
St. Petersburg
. At present the NBT administration is negotiating this issue with the
St. Petersburg
mint, according to the source. But the Asia-Plus interlocutor refrained from saying how many coins will be minted, noting that it is secret information.
The source just said: “It is planned to mint jubilee coins of 1, 3, and 5 Somonis’ denomination. A part of them that will be put into circulation will be produced from cupro-zinc alloy (brass), ad the other part intended for numismatic purposes will be produced from cupro-nickel alloy (German silver) and collection coins will be produced from precious metals, most likely silver.”
As it had been reported earlier, the NBT put into circulation the first jubilee coins of 3 Somonis’ denomination dedicated to the 10anniversary of
Tajikistan

anniversary of the establishment of
