DUSHANBE, February 15, Asia-Plus -- International four-day exhibition “Mini Agricultural Machines - 2006” will open in the building of Tajik Agricultural University in Dushanbe on February 20.
The exhibition is staged by the Ministry of Agriculture and Independent Agency for Strategic Studies and Planning under support of World Bank and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Country Office in Tajikistan.
India, Iran, China, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and other countries are participating in this exhibition. Companies from these countries will put on display their achievements in the production of mini agricultural machines, processing of farm produce, and advanced technologies in relevant industries.
On February 21, a scientific-practical conference formally titled “Mini Agricultural Machines – Foundation of Progress of Dehqan (Peasant) Farms” will be held on sidelines of the exhibition.
Senior representatives from agrarian sector, heads of farming units, rural entrepreneurs, specialists in agriculture, students and other interested persons will attend the exhibition, which runs through February 23.
