DUSHANBE, February 20, Asia-Plus - Some 145 kilograms of drugs, with more than 72 kilograms of them being heroin, were intercepted throughout Tajikistan last week, according to information from the Interior Ministry’s department for combating drug trafficking (drug police).   .

The Tajik drug police source has told Asia-Plus that the totaled also included 32 kilograms of raw opium and some 40 kilograms of hashish and marijuana.  

Since the beginning of the year, 526 kilograms of drugs, including 339 kilograms of heroin, have been intercepted I the republic, according to the source.
