135 kilograms of drugs seized in joint operations by DCA and Afghan special services this year so far

DUSHANBE
, March 6, Asia-Plus - Joint operations carried out by the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA) and Afghan special services in January-February have led to seizure of 135 kilograms of drugs, the DCA press service reported.
According to Avaz Yuldoshev, a spokesman for the DCA, the totaled included 91 kilograms of heroin and 44 kilograms of marijuana. Four Afghan drug traffickers have been arrested over the same two-month period.
Three groups of Afghan drug traffickers that dealt with smuggling drugs into the
Tajikistan
have been neutralized, the DCA spokesman said. At present the DCA officers are carrying our operation to detect and detain Tajik accomplices of these drug traffickers.
Last year, DCA and Afghan special services carried out four joint operations that led to seizure of 470 kilograms of heroin and liquidation of three heroin labs in the
northern provinces
of
Afghanistan
