“Zarubezhtsvetmet” to invest in rehabilitation of ore refineries in Tajikistan

’s open joint-stock company “Zarubezhtsvetmet” (Russian overseas nonferrous company) intend to launch joint ventures in
Tajikistan
on mining and production of nonferrous metals.
According to information from
Tajikistan
’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Russian specialists are supposed to set to rehabilitation of the Adrasman and Altyn-Topak ore refineries in northern
Tajikistan
in near future.
The CCI source says Vladimir Peshiy, a chief specialist with the “Zarubezhtsvetmet” company in mining, has remarked this during a meeting with Tajik CCI head Sharif Saidov.
According to Mr. Peshiy, Russian experts will arrive in
Tajikistan
to study these ore refineries. The further reconstruction of the enterprises will allow increasing their capacities, Vladimir Peshiy said.
According to information from the Tajik CCI, visiting Russian delegation has also shown interest in the possibility of cooperation in development of oil and gas fields in
Tajikistan
.
