DUSHANBE, April 13, Asia-Plus -- A large amount of drugs was intercepted in southern Tajikistan on Tuesday, Rustam Nazarov, director of Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA), remarked at a news conference in Dushanbe today.  

According to him, a joint operation by the DCA and Tajik border troops led to detention of Afghan drug traffickers who was illegally crossing the border river in the Farkhor district of Khatlon.    

“39 kilograms of cannabis and 19 kilograms of chlorophyll using for diluting heroin were confiscated from the drug trafficker,” Rustam Nazarov said.
