According to information from the bank’s loan department, six mortgage loans for a total amount of US$47,000 and 128,000 Somonis (equivalent to some US$40,000) have been opened under this program.
The program gives newly married couples an opportunity to get a loan up to US$30,000 for purchasing dwelling. The loans carry an annual interest rate of 25 percent are repayable over five years, according to the source.
