DUSHANBE , April 19, Asia-Plus - A Tajik economic delegation led by Matlubkhon Davlatov, State Adviser to the Tajik President for Economic Matters, left for Washington on April 18.   

According to information from the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), the purpose of the visit is for the delegation to attend the spring meeting if the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Finance Committee and the World Bank’s (WB) Development Committee, which is opening in Washington today.  

Besides, members of the Tajik delegation - Safarali Najmuddinov, Finance Minister, and Murodali Alimardonov, Chairman of the NBT – are scheduled to negotiate with representatives from the Word Bank issues related to the project on technical assistance in reforming the public management system and the project on technical assistance in strengthening Tajikistan ’s national statistics system.  

The visit of the Tajik delegation to Washington will last till April 26.
