DUSAHNBE, April 21, Asia-Plus -- A roundtable meeting on drumming up investments in Tajikistan’s economy will be held in Dushanbe on April 22.
According to information from the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the meeting participants include representatives from the ministries of economy, finance, energy, and other institutions as well as representatives from international organizations active in Tajikistan.
An official with the Ministry of Economy and Trade says that over the past several years investment climate in Tajikistan has considerably improved. Last year, a total volume of investments in the country’s economy, mainly in enhancement of telecommunications, energy and road-building, amounted to US$170 million, according to the source.
