DUSHANBE , April 24, Asia-Plus - The 20 th session of the council of the CIS interior ministers in Dushanbe has ended with signing of eight documents.  

On Friday April 21, Tajik Minister of Interiors Khumdin Sharipov speaking to journalists noted that the signed documents concerned prospects of further expansion of cooperation between the CIS police, joint fight against terrorism, extremism, and trafficking in drugs and weapons as well as fight against transnational crime.  

Besides, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan signed bilateral agreement on cooperation in this direction, according to the minister.  

The CIS interior ministers’ session in Dushanbe also endorsed a new instruction on searching criminals, common rules of searching persons, whose names are on the list of those internally wanted, and a draft program for combating human trafficking within the CIS area designed for 2007-2010.   

The final briefing was attended by heads of all delegations, except Uzbekistan that had been represented at the session in Dushanbe by First Deputy Interior Minister, Ghayrat Qodirov.
