DUSHANBE, May 24, Asia-Plus -- A presentation of the Strategy of Development of Agriculture in Tajikistan provided by experts from the World Bank was held in the National Bank of Tajikistan yesterday.
According to information the World Bank Dushanbe office, the paper has been prepared under financial support of the World Bank and the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The source says the paper authors offer a number of short-term and medium-term measures that should be taken by the government and international community in order to provide a basis for achieving sustainable growth.
Besides, the experts have also prepared a series of short memos on agrarian policy that may help officials making political decisions determine the main strategic directions in the area of the land reforms, rural finances and taxation of agriculture.
