Iran intends to build large shopping center in Tajikistan

, July 14, Asia-Plus -- Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister, Mehdi Safari, arrived in
Tajikistan
today for a two-day working visit, according to information from the Tajik MFA.
Today, at
9:00 a.m.
, Mr. Safari met with Tajik Economy and Trade Minister Hakim Soliyev. The two considered issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between
Iran
and
Tajikistan
. The two also discussed the construction of large
Iran
’s shopping center in
Tajikistan
. Their meeting also focused on the completion of the decoration works on the Anzob tunnel.
The MFA source has told Asia-Plus that during his stay in
Tajikistan
Mr. Safari is also scheduled to meet with President Emomali Rahmonov and Foreign Minister Talbak Nazarov.
During these meetings the sides are supposed to discuss state and progress of further expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries as well as issues related to the upcoming official visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to
Tajikistan
, which is scheduled for late July.
