DUSHANBE , July 20, Asia-Plus - Sherali Gulov, Chairman of the State Committee for Management of State-owned Property, told a news conference in Dushanbe on July 20 that 382 real estate properties totaling worth 20.5 million Somonis have been privatized throughout Tajikistan in January-June 2006.  

“Of them, 305 properties were objects of small privatization and 77 others were medium-sized and large enterprises, as well as transport means,” Sherali Gulov said.  

According to him, of a total amount having come to the budget from privatization of those 382 properties, more than 4 million Somonis have been made from sale of municipal property, 12.7 million Somonis from sale of shares belonging to state.  

“Of 10,000 real estate properties liable to privatization, more than 9,000 real estate properties have been privatized since the beginning of the privatization,” Gulov said.  

“Shares of 60 enterprises for a total amount of more than 34 million Somonis were sold by investment tenders in 2004-2006,” Sherali Gulov said, adding that investors have invested more than 14 million Somonis in development of production and creation of new jobs over the same two-year period.
