Over six kilos of heroin intercepted by DCA officers in two separate operations on Monday

Tajikistan
’s Drug Control Agency seized more than six kilograms of heroin in two separate operation on Tuesday [July 24].
According to information from the DCA press service, the DCA officers found five kilograms of heroin when they were searching an apartment in the
Firdavsi Street
in
Dushanbe
. Besides, they detained woman who has been wanted by police for having allegedly committed grave crime. The preliminary investigation has established that the drugs were transported to
Dushanbe
from one of border districts last week. Investigation is under way.
On the same day, officers from the DCA detained in
Dushanbe
a resident of the Vahdat, who was suspected of having been involved in drug trafficking. A package containing nearly one kilogram of heroin was confiscated from him. The DCA officers do not rule out that the drugs were intended for transportation to the
Russian Federation
