DUSHANBE , July 26, Asia-Plus - “ Tajikistan calls for immediate end to the current fighting in the zone of Israeli-Lebanese conflict,” Tajik Foreign Minister Talbak Nazarov remarked at a briefing in Dushanbe yesterday.  

According to him, further development of the conflict is fraught with serious consequences.  “Dushanbe has always come out and continues coming out for resolving all the rising problems through political-diplomatic way ensuing problems,” said the Tajik foreign minister, noting that “neither Israel nor Lebanon needs this war.”  The sides should come to the negotiating table,” Talbak Nazarov said.  

On the Tajik-Iranian relations, Mr. Nazarov said they have always been very good and based on economic and cultural cooperation.  “We try to have good relations with all countries of the world,” the minister stressed.  

Talbak Nazarov refrained himself from commenting on assessment by the Tajik side of military assistance provided by Iran to “Hezbollah” group in Lebanon .  “These issues are in competence of the Government of Iran,” the minister said.
