DUSHANBE, August 29, Asia-Plus -- The Ninth extraordinary Congress of Tajikistan’s Social-Democratic Party (SDPT) will be held on September 17, the SDPT leader Rahmatillo Zoirov announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on August 29.
According to him, the congress will consider two issues: participating in the upcoming presidential election due in November this year and fielding its candidate in the election.

According to him, “taking into account numerous violations reported already at the present stage the upcoming presidential election in Tajikistan, in our opinion, will be on the verge of illegitimacy.”
