DUSHANBE, September 6, Asia-Plus - Tajikistan’s AgroInvestBonk and Russia’s “Russlavbank” have inked an agreement on introduction of a new bank deposit – “Hamvatan” (Fellow-countryman)
Sharif Qaraqulov, member of the AgroInvestBonk board also head of the department for deposits and attracted resources, has told Asia-Plus that Tajiks temporarily staying in the Russian Federation may use the “Hamvatan” deposit for remitting funds to AgroInvestBonk via the “Contact” money transfer system worked out by Russlavbank.
This service will allow Tajik labor migrants staying in Russia to tackle the problem of remitting money to Tajikistan and safekeeping of them, according to Qaraqulov. “Labor migrant remits money to our bank via the “Contact” money transfer system, and our bank automatically opens bank account for him and thereby his money are kept in the republic,” the AgroInvestBonk official said.

“The “Hamvatan” deposit is the first joint bank product worked out in cooperation with the Russian bank and its introduction is a good present to our fellow-countrymen on occasion of the 15 th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence,” the Asia-Plus interlocutor said.
