KULOB, November 9, Asia-Plus - Cotton farmers in the Vose district have yielded 14,500 tons of cotton by November 9, which is 63.17 percent of their target, according to the Kulob agriculture administration.
A source at the Kulob agriculture administration said that it is 2,056 tons fewer compared to the same period of last year. “Therefore the district will scarcely fulfill this year’s cotton target,” the source said.

The similar situation has been reported in the Farkhor district as well.
In the meantime, Danghara and Kulob have fulfilled their targets and are continuing to gather cotton in addition to their obligations.
In all, the Kulob zone of Khatlon has yielded 56,693 tons of cotton by November 9, which is 71.76 percent of its target.
