DUSHANBE, November 11, Asia-Plus -- A minister in a new Tajik government should be good manager, Suhrob Sharipov, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, a person appointed to the ministerial position should be a good organizer and manager, being able to form policy of that or this sector. “In our society, it is accepted that minister is not political figure,” said Sharipov, “In our government, the main stress is laid on the official’s good knowledge of one or other sector”
Formation of the new government is prerogative of the president and changes made to the reshuffles should be aimed at enhancing the government’s activity and raising the management efficiency, Sharipov noted.
He pointed to the necessity of strengthening positions of economic ministries “in order to create favorable conditions for intensifying economic reforms and changing economic space of the country.” “New personnel and new political elite are needed for realizing these tasks,” Sharipov said, stressing the necessity of fighting corruption.
