DUSHANBE, November 15, Asia-Plus -- Uzbek national has been detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.
According to the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA), their officers yesterday detained in Dushanbe a 35-year-old resident of the Uzbek city of Andijon, Khushnudbek Bobokhonov. A package containing 2.656 kilograms of heroin was confiscated from him.
The DCA source said that officers from the country’s counternarcotics agency have intercepted more than 1,226 kilograms of drugs, including 466 kilograms of heroin, over the past ten months
