DUSHANBE, November 17, Asia-Plus - Tajik Journalists’ Union will set up a special commission to control observance of standard and purity of Tajik language in the country’s print and electronic media.
A meeting of the union’s board that was held in Dushanbe recently made such decision. The commission will consist of linguists, teachers of the Tajik language and literature at higher educational institutions and journalists.
“Besides, the meeting took a decision to extend the term of registration of members of the union until February 1, 2007,” the source said.
