DUSHANBE, November 21, Asia-Plus -- On Monday November 20, Odil Sangov, the deputy head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) met in Dushanbe with Yuvakim (phonetically spelled) Farkhat, the president of the U.S. Group for Providing Services (as said), and Robert Kirk, the vice-president of this company, according to Tajik CCI.
A source at a Tajik CCI said that in the course of the talks Sangov briefed the U.S. entrepreneurs on the status and activity of the CCI, its structure and members, services offered by the chamber and its participation in laying legal foundation of the country’s economic activity. The CCI official pointed to the necessity of providing local entrepreneurs with more information about advantages and shortcomings of Tajikistan’s joining the World trade Organization (WTO), according to the source.
“According to the CCI deputy head, international organizations and their specialists could provide such information through conducting training and seminars,” said the source, “Sangov added that the CCI is ready provide assistance in conducting such seminars.”
