DUSHANBE, November 28, Asia-Plus -- To provide efficient work of its dialing system cellular operator MLT/TT Mobile is changing its dialing format.
For the purpose of expanding its phone number capacity beginning on January 1, 2007, the company will replace its three-digit access code “917” with the two-digit one “90”. Besides, a six-digit phone number will be replaced by the seven-digit one by adding “7” to the phone number – 7 XX XX XX.
A call to Tajikistan would have the following dialing format: +992 90 7 XX XX XX. Inter-city calling inside Tajikistan: (8) 90 7 XX XX XX.
According to the source, the new dialing format will not affect the quality of communications services rendered by the company.
