DUSHANBE, November 29, Asia-Plus - Information about the upcoming power supplies cutoff in the republic has led to the increase in the prices of some basic food products in Dushanbe.
Thus, the prices of “non” (Tajik national loaf) on some markets of the city markets have doubled, rising from 0.50 somoni to 1.00 somoni. Producers link this sudden hike in bread prices to the information about the possible power supplies cutoff in the country.
As far as the state-run bakeries in Dushanbe are concerned, they are currently operating in full capacity. However, there were certain problems with bread in the city yesterday.
Today, the bread situation in the city improved.
