DUSHANBE, December 12, Asia-Plus - A mission of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) led by Shokhei (phonetically spelled) Hara, director of Division II, Development Assistance Strategy Department of the JBIC, is arriving in Tajikistan today for a three-day visit, Tajik MFA said.
During their staying in Tajikistan, representatives from the JBIC mission are scheduled to hold a number of meetings with high-ranking Tajik state officials.
JBIC is a Japanese governmental financial institution that aims at stable and autonomous development of the economies and societies of countries in the world, and closer and stronger economic ties between Japan and the rest of the world. Established on October 1, 1999 as a result of a merger between The Export-Import Bank of Japan (JEXIM) and The Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, Japan (OECF), and taking over their operations as its core operations, JBIC undertakes International Financial Operations and Overseas Economic Cooperation Operations (ODA Operations) that are strictly separated in terms of financial sources and accounts.
