QURGHON TEPPA, January 6, Asia-Plus -- Candidate of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) has joined race for seat in parliament in the Qubodiyon constituency.
The IRPT organization for the Qubodiyon district of Khatlon on January 5 nominated Khudoinazar Toshquvatov, head of the IRPT organization for the Nosir Khusrav district, to run for seat in the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) in Qubodiyon constituency # 31 to replace Shukurjon Zuhurov, whose powers as MP terminated in connection with appointment of him to head the ministry of labor and social security.
According to the IRPT regional organization for Khatlon, Toshquvatov will compete for the seat with candidate from the People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) Badridddin Saddridinov, head of farming unit in the Shahritus district.
Elections will be held on February 11.
