DUSHANBE, June 5, Asia-Plus - The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) and the China Development Bank (CDB) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoI) on cooperation in training of personnel for Tajik banking system in 2007, Asia-Plus has learned at press service of Tajik central bank.
The source said that specialists from Tajik banking system will take short-term training courses at the China Development Bank.
Ibrohim Yoqubov, the head of the NBT personnel management department, told Asia-Plus that it is the first instance of cooperation between Tajik and Chinese bankers in training of personnel. “The Chinese side has also assumed charge of sponsoring training of Tajik specialists in China working for degree of magister”
The central bank’s press service says that the same day, the NBT head Murodali Alimardonov met with the CDB training and education department head Wang Yuan. In the course of the talks Alimardonov and Wang exchanged views on expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two banks.
Tajik central bank head briefed the CDB official on the present state of banking system in Tajikistan and hailed a progress of work on setting up a joint NBT-CDB office for organizing training courses for staffers of all banks operating in Tajikistan. Chinese experts will conduct training at this office, the source said.
