DUSHANBE, August 29, Asia-Plus-- Kazakhstan’ limited liability company ATsPNK-519 has expressed wish to participate in a tender for construction of a 160 megawatt power plant on the Hingob River in the Nurobod district, eastern Tajikistan, Asia-Plus has learned at the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).
The source at a MoEI said that representatives from the Kazakh company remarked this at a meeting with Energy and Industries Minister Sherali Gulov in Dushanbe on August 28.
Today, representatives from ATsPNK-519 are scheduled to hold talks with top managers of Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power holding and the head of the State Committee for Investments and management of the State-owned Property, Sharif Rahimzoda.
A total project cost will be known only after feasibility study for construction of the Nurobod power plant is conducted, according to the source.
He added that Kazakhstan’s ATSPNK-519 is also interested in participation in implemented of other energy projects in Tajikistan, including construction of power-transmission lines.
