DUSHANBE, august 30, Asia-Plus -- China has provided considerable assistance in developing Tajikistan’s economy and increasing living conditions of Tajik population, President Emomali Rahmon remarked at a meeting with a delegation of the Chinese Communist Party in Dushanbe on August 29, according to presidential press service.
In the course of the talks Tajik leader underlined the importance of expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and China in various fields. According to him, a level of political mutual confidence between the two countries has increased.
Tajikistan attaches significance to expansion of its cooperation with China as its important strategic partner, President Rahmon said.
For his part, Van Jagui (phonetically spelled), heading the Chinese delegation, noted that the party and the government of China value traditional friendship with Tajikistan and respect the way of development chosen by its people as well as support efforts taken by the Tajik government to provide stability in the country and develop the national economy.
We will recall that the delegation of the Chinese Communist Party arrived in Tajikistan by invitation of Tajikistan’s ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) on August 27 and their visit is concluding today.
