DUSHANBE, February 25, Asia-Plus -- Last week, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection (MoAEP) surveyed prices of basic food products in the country.
According to the survey, as of February 21, the highest flour prices have been reported in Khorog, Gorno Badakhshan. In Khorog, the flour prices have fluctuated from 120 to 140 kilograms for a 50-kilogram sack.
In Dushanbe, a 50-kilogram sack of wheat flour has cost 96-102 somonis, in Qurghon Teppa, Khatlon province and Khujand, Sughd province – 93-106 somonis.
The highest prices of potatoes have been reported in Qurghon Teppa – 1.20-1.70 somonis per one kilogram, and the lowest potato prices have been reported in Sughd’s Istaravshan district – 0.80-1.20 somonis.
In Dushanbe, the price of one kilogram of potatoes has been 1.00 somonis.
As far as onions are concerned, the price of one kilogram of onions in Istaravshan and Khujand has been 0.35-0.50 somoni, while in Dushanbe, one kilogram of onions has cost 1.20 somonis.
The highest price of beef has been reported in Khujand – 17 somonis per one kilogram, and the lowest beef price has been reported in Khorog – 9-12 somonis per kilogram.
In Dushanbe and Qurghon Teppa, beef is realized at the rate of 12-14 and 12-16 somonis respectively.
The cheapest eggs have been reported in Khujand – 0.33-.50 somonis per one piece, the highest egg prices have been in Khorog – 0.80 somonis per piece. In Dushanbe, eggs have been realized at the rate of 0.55-0.60 somoni per piece.
