The President of Tajikistan today, September 16, at the capital's Palace of the Nation received Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the summit of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

During the meeting, a wide range of Tajik-Chinese multifaceted cooperation was discussed both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.

The parties highly appreciated the level of cooperation between the two states in the spheres of politics, economy, culture, security and in the humanitarian component.

The President of Tajikistan and the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the current situation in Afghanistan.

Emomali Rahmon stressed that Tajikistan, which has a long border and a common history with Afghanistan, cannot be neutral to the fate of this country and always stands for peace and harmony in Afghanistan.
