DUSHANBE, January 19, 2011, Asia-Plus -- 3.2 million U.S. dollars are needed for rehabilitation of the stone-processing enterprise, Khrustal (Crystal), which is located in Vanj district, Gorno Badakhshan, according to the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest).
The source says GosKomInvest is currently seeking investor to expand operations of the Khurstal enterprise, which specializes in processing semiprecious stones on the basis of the Dashtak marble deposit in the Vanj district.
“To implement this project, it is necessary to attract US$1.1 million of foreign or domestic investments,” he said, noting that contribution of Khrustal itself to the project amounts to US$2.1 million.
Located in the Vanj district of Gorno Badakhshan, the North Pamir stone-processing enterprise, Khurstal, produces technical output and consumer goods.
