KULOB, February 14, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Electricity supply was increased by two hours to residential customers in eight districts of Khatlon’s Kulob region on February 11, Mirzo Ismoilov, director of Shabakahoi Mintaqai Kulob (Kulob regional power supply network), said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
Shabakahoi Mintaqai Kulob operates power supply network in the area, except the city of Kulob and Danghara district. “Residential customers in rural areas now have electricity fourteen hours per day,” Ismoilov noted.
All vital facilities and some important industrial enterprises in the region have regular electricity, he added.
We will recall that the electricity rationing that was introduced in the country in November resulted in the supply of daily electricity to residential customers in rural areas being reduced to twelve hours.
