DUSHANBE, March 2, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Asomiddin Atoyev, a consultant to the Association of Internet Providers of Tajikistan, assesses reorganization of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and division of it into two separate government bodies (Ministry of Transport and Communications Service) positively.
“I believe this reorganization will be good for the country’s telecommunications sector, which has its own specific features,” Atoyev said.
He, however, refrained from answering the question what he thinks of appointment of Beg Zuhurov to head the Communications Service. The expert just noted that “the new leadership will have the time to show their independence and efficiency.”
“Coming out of the shade of the Ministry, the Communications Service will have an opportunity to display its independence and competence on the communications regulation issues,” Atoyev said.
