DUSHANBE, March 11, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, is expected to resume the twice-weekly service from Dushanbe to Tehran, Iran on March 19.
“As it had before, the company will operate the flight twice a week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays,” Lola Kenjayeva, a spokeswoman for Tajik Airs, said. According to her, Tajik Air uses comfortable Boeing 737-500 to operate that Dushanbe-Tehran flight.
She added that the national air carrier had also resumed flights from Khujand to the Russian cities of Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. “The Khujand-Yekaterinburg flight will be operated once a week – on Fridays and the Khujand-Novosibirsk flight will be operated once every two weeks – on Saturdays,” the spokesman noted.
We will recall that Tajik Air suspended the Saturday flights to Tehran starting from February 1 in connection with low traffic on this route.
