DUSHANBE, March 15, 2011, Asia-Plus -- 48 counties of the world have provided more than US$26.8 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-February this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the report period, 89 tons of vegetable oil for US$194,000, medicines and medical equipment for US$22.1 million, US$543,000 worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers have been delivered to the country.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 84.3 percent, Russia – 4.3 percent, Denmark – 3.9 percent, the United Arab Emirates – 2.3 percent, the Netherlands – 2.1 percent, and Germany -- 1.0 percent.
