KHUJAND, April 11, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Over the first quarter of this year, Sughd province has produced a total of 470.8953 million somoni worth of industrial goods, according to the Sughd department for statistics.
Compared to January-March 2010 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 121.6 percent.
Over the report period, 159 enterprises (65.4 percent) reached the January-March 2010 production level, while 40 enterprises (16.5 percent) decreased production volumes compared to the January-March 2010 production level. Meanwhile, 44 enterprises, or 18.1 percent of the overall number (243), have not been in operation in January-March this year, the source said.
